Change how Phaze passes keyboard and mouse input to your remote workstation

Updated over 2 months ago

When you're connected to your workstation in Phaze, you may want to change how the application handles your mouse and keyboard input. At times, you may want to pass the operating system hotkeys, like Alt + Tab to the remote computer. When you want to do that, you will need to change your Grab mode from "None" to "Keyboard" or "Keyboard and Mouse". The Mouse Grab mode forces the mouse to stay inside the Phaze remote desktop window during your connection to the remote computer.

Changing the Grab Mode setting can be done two different ways during the connection:

  1. Use the Grab Mode Phaze hotkey combination (default is Left Ctrl + Left Shift + G on Windows or Left Cmd + Left Shift + G on macOS).

  2. Open the Phaze HUD with the hotkey combination (default is is Left Ctrl + Left Shift + M on Windows or Left Cmd + Left Shift + M on macOS) and choose which Grab mode you'd like to use.

You can also change the Grab Mode setting default on every connection in the Settings > Application tab in Phaze. From here, setting your Grab Mode will always be the default for every connection.
